Let me introduce myself—I’m Amy.
I’m a mother, nurse, inventor, and advocate for nature, science, and all living things. I’m a traditional, old-school nurse who still looks to Florence Nightingale as a mentor and inspiration. As she said, “Live life when you have it. Life is a splendid gift—there is nothing small about it.”
I’ve worked in healthcare since 1997 and have witnessed both the best and most difficult health outcomes, standing beside patients during their most vulnerable moments. Through my experience, I’ve learned that medication alone cannot fix every ailment. True wellness often requires creative, independent thinking and a balanced approach that blends traditional medicine with nontraditional methods. --

Inspired by years of patient feedback and collaboration with hospital staff, my family and I opened Scented Gypsy Ye Old Craft and Soapery. Our logo honors Florence Nightingale—The Lady of the Lamp—symbolizing tradition, compassion, humility, and care. These values guide everything we create.
